talk like a pirate day
19 09 2008
Ahoy thar maties! Today be talk like a pirate day. International talk like a pirate day began in the 1990s when two yankees, John Baur (Ol’ Chum Bucket) and Mark Summers (Cap’n Slappy), be talkin’ like pirates all o’a sudden. They decided that to, to further the noble causes of the sweet trade of piracy, September 19 each year be the day when all the souls over the world should be talkin’ like pirates. For years, their valiant efforts were wasted, until they contacted a man named Dave Barry, who be writin’ a humor column for the great masses o’ landlubbers out yonder. Ar so in the spirit of talk like a pirate day here be a few pirate related links. The Mix Tape about Pete and the Pirates, the official talk like a pirate day site, and a link t’ a video o’ t’ founders of talk like a pirate day. Have a good day landlubbers!

Micro Review: Rockband2
19 09 2008
Where do I begin? Rockband2 is the second rockband game by Harmonix. I’ve had it for about 5 days and I feel I’ve played enough to give it mediocre review. Well….the game is pretty much the same as the first one with a few minor improvements. There are now ways to tweak the game to make it more fun to play, there is a no fail mode which seems like a good idea for parties and less experienced players, there is also a way to unlock all the songs so you can play all of the songs right away. One of the big differences is the song list, there are so many songs! One of the great new features is that you can copy most of the songs from the original rockband game and play them on rockband2. Over all the game is very polished and fun to play, I would recommend it to anyone who liked the first one.
